COLONIC AVENGER

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 Bar spoons amaretto
  • Demera 1 heaped bar spoon sugar
  • Juice of half an orange orange
  • 8 count (50ml) brandy
  • 4 count (25ml) orange juice
  • dash of cinamon cinnamon
  • 1 count (5-6ml) ginger ale

DIRECTIONS

Into an Old fashioned add 1 heaped bar spoon of Demera sugar, 3barspoons of Amarreto and the rind of an Orange that should measure about 6" long. Muddle into a paste and add 25ml of freshly squeezed Orange Juice. Add 2 Ice cubes and stir for 4revolutions. Add a 2count(10-12ml) of Brandy (pref Gran reserver)and stir as would a Treacle or Old Fashioned. After 8-10stirs add 2 more ice cubes and 2 count of brandy. Stir for 10 more revolutions, add 2count of Brandy and stir. After another 10 revolutions add 25ml of smooth Orange juice. Stir for another 10 revolutions, add a small sprinkle of Cinnamon and about 5ml of Ginger Ale and stir untill all the ingrediants are mixed. Top with ice and Garnish with a flamed Orange peel.............TADAA!! Boring Tuesdays are great for new Cocktails. Inspired by a Rum Treacle and a Godchild the drink should be very smooth and fresh on first quaff after all the burn has been stirred out of the brandy. Lovely:)

Blend thoroughly and pour into a chocolate swirl-lined Poco cocktail glass and garnish with 1 strawberry on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately! This recipe is a popular favourite of the patrons of The Pearl Room Casino at the Burswood Hotel InterContinental, Perth, Western Australia where I work as a Bar Attendant. It's quite indulgent!
